Easter Weekend
I had a great Easter! I hope you did too. Today I wanted to show you some pictures from our Easter weekend.
My family tries to get together for lunch every other week. This last weekend happened to be my sister’s week to cook lunch and my turn to make dessert. But with it being a holiday, instead of having it at her house, we had it at mine. We usually do holiday’s at my house because I have the bigger table and perfect backyard for egg hunting.
We colored eggs the day before Easter this year. We used to do it on the Wednesday before since it’s a short day with school. But I babysit now, so it’s not practical.
Every year we make carrot cake for dessert. It’s become tradition now. But how we make the cake doesn’t matter. Last year I did a double layer round cake with peeps around the trim in a pattern. This year I did cupcakes! I used my Wilton Color Right color system to make the perfect “spring” green frosting. I frosted them all with the green frosting first, as a base, and then I used Wilton tip 233 to make it look like grass. Lastly, I used some egg shaped sprinkles on each cupcake. Everyone loved them and went back for more!
I wore my new polka-dot dress from Stitch Fix! I love getting my fix box every other month! I’ll try to do a post soon on Stitch Fix too.
